Open LLMs for Transparent AI in Europe

Europe's leading AI companies and research institutions combine their forces and expertise to develop next-generationopen-source language models in an unprecedented collaboration to advance European AI capabilities, the OpenEuroLLMproject{:target=_blank}.

A consortium of 20 leading European research institutions, companies and EuroHPC centres coordinated by Jan Hajič (Charles University{:target=_blank}, Czechia) and co-led by Peter Sarlin (AMD Silo AI{:target=_blank}, Finland) will build a family of performant,multilingual, large language foundation models for commercial, industrial and public services.

The system is industrial-grade, facilitating possible cooperation with industry.Eindhoven University of Technology is expected to be among the first European customers to receive NVIDIA DGX B200systems. The supercomputer - expected to be operational in the first half of 2025 - will boost TU/e’s research in AI andother areas.

Introduction to MATLAB on HPC Systems

This one-day workshop offers a hands-on introduction to submitting parallel computing jobs with MATLAB on the Dutch national supercomputer, Snellius. You’ll also get a brief overview of how to use MATLAB on the SURF Research Cloud. Throughout the day, you’ll learn to solve compute- and data-intensive problems by leveraging the cluster’s multicore processors and GPUs, access the SURF HPC cluster, configure and submit MATLAB jobs, and retrieve your results seamlessly.
